Pontian Wan Tan Mee - Kepong

This shop is actually called "Stupid Jane", apparently its the chinese word for Pontian ? The whole big corner shop is just selling wan tan mee, supposingly a famous place for wan ton mee ?

Internal layout really simple and straight forward, NOT those normal coffee shop nor is it star buick style, its somewhere in between.

There are 5-6 flavors of wanton mee, I ordered the 'tomato' style. Apparently its just wanton mee with maggi tomato sauce in it. But there is this slight sour taste in it, I cann't say I hate it ... Its just 'different' than the normal wanton mee.

The Fried Sui Gao, meat (shrimp) dumpling on the hand is great ! Very cruncy !

Coffee is ok too, the Old Town style.

Recommended once a month if you are into wanton mee. Its near Public Bank in Kepong, right out of main road Jalan Kepong.

Pontian is a place name in Johor. It famous with Wantan mee with kethup since the early 60. I not sure about the Kepong branch whether it is authentic but at Pontian the noodle is made by their own. They also seling the famous otak-otak too.

yes, I think it must be the branch. The noodle is very special by their own, unlike others sold out there. Thanks for letting us know ...
